Once, there was a bird named Kekekow. He was very kind.

Kekekow loved to help. He flew to the people each day. He gave them sweet, red fruits. He gave them shiny, nice gifts. The people were very happy. They said, "Thank you, Kekekow!" Kekekow gave and gave. He was so kind.

But some people felt jealous. They wanted more gifts. They wanted all the fruits. "Why does he have so much?" they thought. They felt angry inside. They did not feel happy for others.

One day, the jealous people made a plan. They caught Kekekow in a net. He could not fly away. The people were not kind. Kekekow was gone. He did not come back. All the people felt very sad.

They put Kekekow under a big tree. A little while later, a great thing happened. A small tree grew there. It grew very fast. It was a magic tree.

The magic tree had many fruits. It gave fruit to all the people. The people could take the fruit. It was sweet and good. Kekekow's kindness was still there. The tree kept giving, just like him.

Being kind is always good. Good things can happen even after sad times.
