Adapted Version
I am a plant carer. I love to plant seeds. My garden is my happy place.
I make my garden beds straight and neat. I use a string to guide me. My little boy is Carrot, orange and bright. My fine girl is Bean, climbing high. Mr. Cabbage is here, strong and green. Aunt Cuke is here too, long and cool. I smile at them all like kin.
I tell birds, "Do not eat my seeds!" I tell Pea, "Climb my stick!" I give water to Aspar each morning. I check on them each day with care.
I see Beet grow big and red. I will get Radish for dinner. I eat Lettuce with my meat. It tastes so good from my garden.
I plant Spud here in the dirt. I plant Turnip there near the fence. I plant Hot root by the tree. I care for them all with love and time.
I plant flowers too for color and joy. I plant Aster with purple petals. I plant Rose with sweet smell, red and sweet. I give water to all, each day. They make my garden bright and bright.
I see a big dog come near. He walks in my garden with heavy paws. His big paws go *pomp* on the ground. He steps on my beds by mistake, oops! I see chickens too, clucking around. They dig in the dirt for bugs. I see children playing, laughing with joy. They walk here and there, looking.
I see a rat hiding in the grass. He eats the bark from young trees. I see a worm in the dark soil. He eats the berries from green bushes. A thief takes my apples at night. The cold frost hurts the flowers in winter. The strong wind blows the petals away.
But I am happy in my garden each day. I sow my seeds with care in rows. I sow them with joy in my heart. Each seed is a new hope for life.
I trust nature to help me grow food. I have hope for next day and always. Hope comes in spring with new green leaves. Harvest comes in autumn with plenty food for all.
The sun makes seeds grow with its warm light. The winter snow makes them sleep under white cover. But they wake up again when spring arrives.
When things are hard, work and hope. Good grows from effort and love.
Soon, spring comes. All grows again in my garden.
